Test Engineer, Development
The Test Engineer is primarily responsible for the effective and
efficient integration of the development of new and existing products.
This person through the Director of Development must support the
objectives of Marotta Controls Inc. relative to engineering and
development goals. The incumbent must be a dynamic individual who can
multi-task and oversee various activities associated with engineering,
development and production. This position requires effective interaction
with a broad spectrum of people both internal and external to the
organization to successfully support operations and the corporate
Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that all activities related to product development are executed
and documented in a manner which is compliant to corporate and
Build and test new and existing product designs
Support all testing both in house and at outside test facilities
Trouble shoot nonfunctioning designs to help support engineering
Generate action plans and strategies to support and accommodate testing
and development of new products
Develop, maintain and optimize the required support systems
(computer/personnel) to manage projects from conception through
finalization to assure on-time results while achieving desired
Develop assembly procedures and document the development build process
Create test procedures, plans, and reports including but not limited to
Design Verification, Qualification, Acceptance, and Environmental Stress
Write qualification test reports
Generate fixtures and test setups that will make testing more complete
Effectively communicate exceptions to established/agreed upon schedules
to all affected parties internal/external to the Marotta Organization
Develop/train personnel to support the Development Lab goals and
Full implementation of planning and production techniques for both one
off and repetitive product manufacturing
Additional Duties / Responsibilities:

Other duties as assigned
Position entails exposure to typical manufacturing (i.e. Machine Shop,
Assembly, Testing, etc.) environments inclusive of the appropriate eye,
hearing and foot protection (PPE) (as required).
Temperature of work environment may be affected by outside/external
temperatures, machining processes, etc.
Travel is required (moderate level: 20% - 40%)
Minimum Required Qualifications:
B.S in Engineering is required as a minimum - Mechanical, Aerospace, or
equivalent. Advanced technical degree is desirable for this position.
5+ years of related experience in a development environment (Aerospace
Knowledgeable and experience in the areas of electronic test
Knowledge of military aerospace standards or commercial aerospace
standards (MIL-STD-461,MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810, DO-160)
Knowledge and experience in the valve industry a plus
Knowledgeable and experience in the areas of high-pressure fluids and
Self-motivated individual who possesses the ability to analyze,
