Manager, Contract and Rebate Administration

This role supports all the accurate and timely pricing and contracting administration efforts of the Pricing and Contracting department, including rebate payment, customer profile management, chargeback processing, account management, and contract eligibility activities. Role also assists in responding to external and internal customer inquiries.
Daily management of routine inquiries from internal and external customers regarding pricing on our commercial contracts. Manages such inquiries into the Customer Relations mailbox.
Responsible for accurate chargebacks processing with 3PL, including customer classification and membership activities. Responsible for accurate customer class of trade assignment.
Prepares and communicates Customer Price Requests and Price Changes to Ferring Trading Partners (wholesalers, distributors, Third Party Logistics) and pricing compendia. Insures that all prices are accurate and timely communicated with our trading partners.
Maintains master pricing database for all direct and indirect pricing programs. On a weekly basis, audits any pricing errors exposed by the pricing database to ensures that the prices being charged by the Wholesalers, Distributors and Third-Party Logistics are accurate.
Assists with payment processing of government rebates such as Tricare and Coverage Gap. Prepares quarterly trend analysis.
Assists Director in all monthly and quarterly government pricing calculations and submissions. Serves as backup to Director on issues. Performs analysis of calculations as required.
Processes Managed care rebate claims with Finance. Maintains excellent records for accurate reporting of ASP.
Processes Medicaid rebate claims. Interfaces with 3rd party provider for accuracy and analysis. Maintains excellent records of payments for accurate reporting. Provides quarterly Trend Analysis.
Bachelor degree required
5+ years pharmaceutical healthcare or relevant experience with solid knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and industry practices in order-to- cash, supply chain, customer service, contracts and rebates, finance practices, gross to net practices.
Knowledge of contract/rebate systems a plus.
Solid financial and accounting knowledge required to understand the complexity of pharmaceutical commercial and government pricing calculations.
Good working knowledge of statutory government pricing programs (MDRP, CMS Medicare Part B, FSS).
Excellent research skills regarding customers, physician practices, hospitals, DEA numbers, HIN numbers; understands relationships between types of pharmaceutical customers and chain of ownership.
Excellent internal and external customer service skills; proven ability to work across teams; ability to handle routine questions regarding prices loaded, rebate payments, shipments made.
Ability to work with large sets of sometimes complex data (e.g. quarterly chargeback lines; rebate eligibility).
Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills - excel, Access, Word (mail merge experience required); Power Point.
Experience and accuracy of financial transaction processing.
Ability to react quickly and appropriately to situations with internal and external customers.
Ability to measure downstream impacts of pricing actions and communications.
Ability to back up Director and others on team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
