Job Description

 

The Paralegal will support our US Legal Department with contract review/negotiation, data privacy initiatives, and other legal department projects, as needed. The Paralegal will primarily support the VP, Corporate & Transactional Counsel -- but will lend support and have accountability to the entire department including Commercial, IP & Litigation, Clinical and Compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, review and negotiate a variety of agreements including Master Services Agreements, Task Orders/Statements of Work, Change Orders/Amendments, Consulting Agreements, CDAs, and other frequently executed agreements, as needed, for the Companys Market Access, Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Corporate Development/Commercial Strategy, Clinical Development, Supply Chain, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Human Resources and IT departments.
Handle day-to-day communications and coordinate responses to inquiries from contract stakeholders.
Support Data Privacy / Commercial Counsel by reviewing agreements and amendments to ensure compliance with data privacy laws/regulations, interviewing clients about activities impacting data privacy and assisting with the preparation for internal audits.
Assist with training initiatives and materials relating to new privacy updates.
Support the legal groups role within the Medical Affairs Review Committee, Corporate Communications Review Committee, and other committees, as needed.
Assist with the corporate maintenance and governance needs of the Company, as directed.
Assist with legal department records retention projects and document collection efforts.
Conduct legal research, support department projects, and perform all other related duties, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree and Paralegal certificate.
Minimum five (5) years of experience as a paralegal to include 3 plus years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and general business software/applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prioritize work assignments and adjust as needed.
Must be service-oriented toward the business and demonstrate a positive, can do attitude.
Compliance savvy.
Must have strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively with personnel at many different levels throughout the Company.
Must demonstrate maturity and initiative and be able to work both independently and on teams in a very collaborative environment.
Must be able to maintain the integrity of confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
Must live a commutable distance to our US Corporate Headquarters in Florham Park, NJ.
