Director, Finance Controlling - Tech Ops

Summary:

The Director, Finance & Controlling Tech Ops leads all financial operations for US120 (FPG) and serves as key member of the US CFO Function Leadership Team and the FPG site executive team, in addition to alignment and collaboration with Group Finance and Global Functional Business Partners. Will also serve as a Champion for ERP Transformations across all US Entities within FHI.

The Director, Finance & Controlling Tech Ops is responsible for providing decision support by leading and influencing business decisions that drive business performance and support local objectives and global strategy. Responsibilities include team management of direct report, including career development and coaching, motivating staff to drive functional excellence and business partnership, and translate business objectives into team's Finance objectives and manage performance.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis:
Leads all Financial Planning and Reporting processes including Strategic Plans, Budgets, Latest Estimates, and Month/Quarter Outlooks for operational costs as well as ROI analysis on business case analysis.
Lead preparation of financial planning and analysis related to annual operating plans and biannual 5-year Business Planning cycles.
Develop monthly reporting packages and Executive KPI/Performance dashboards focusing on key performance indicators to track financial performance vs. Budget and support brand marketing strategies.
Ensures financial results from operations are reported timely, accurately and in compliance with US GAAP/IFRS.
Responsible for FPG financial planning and analysis, taxation, and transfer pricing, calculating transfer price for items & provide tax cross charges calculations to verify that profit range is met.

Finance Business Partner :
Finance Business Partner to local/global tech Ops, working closely with the US Chief Financial Officer, US VP Product Supply / Tech Ops, and TechOps Controlling providing insightful financial analysis, decision support, and financial reporting.
Strategic partnering cross-functionally within the US FHI Holding Group including commercial, Supply Chain /Access, and US Executive Leadership Team (as needed) to establish robust planning process with clear deliverables, internal controls, timelines and communication plan across the organization.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in cross-functional team meetings.

Decision Support:
Anticipate and evaluate evolving financial risks & opportunities that may impact Tech Ops, track performance vs. plan, while remaining current on supply chain / demand trends, product inventory, and other relevant analyses/data.
Responsible for leading FP&A for capex and operational costs and external investment to enable appropriate resource allocation and support ongoing strategy.
Analyze and challenge financial assumptions underlying supply forecasts and expense planning to ensure transparency and accuracy of those assumptions across the Business.
Collaborate with US CFO and Sr. Director, Group Tech Ops Controlling to drive finance discussions with department heads across the organization and providing meaningful and timely financial advice.

Functional Alignment:
Ensure that programs/projects that are under-taken are aligned to US and Corporate Strategy and adhere to overall business objectives including Procurement, ICS, Controlling, etc.

Compliance:
Ensure a high level of compliance with Ferring standards e.g. GAAP/IFRS Audit Compliance, SOPs, DoA, Learning Management Training, Organizational Change Initiatives, and relevant external and internal regulations and guidelines.

Team Management:
Motivate staff and ensure optimal training across the Finance organization.
Select candidates for key financial positions.
Define or propose remuneration.
Translate business objectives into team's Finance objectives and manage performance.

Requirements:
Bachelor required. Discipline in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
MBA or CPA.
10+ years of broad financial experience with significant related experience within the pharmaceutical industry is required.
Multi-national organization experience is strongly preferred.
Excellent financial analysis skills, advanced modeling and system skills are necessary to identify, present, and challenge key business assumptions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with strong business acumen are required in order to effectively interact and influence.
Advanced computer skills with a high-level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data warehousing and ERP systems such as Oracle (or similar).
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and disparate teams to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Individual should demonstrate leadership capabilities with proven influencing skills.
Experience working in Manufacturing Finance a plus.
Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance groups.
Excellent analytical / problem solving skills.
Understanding of the US pharmaceutical industry / external factors impacting the market.
Demonstrated ability to develop long term relationships and gain their trust and respect.
Strong project management skills.
Experience collaborating in a cross-functional team environment.
Record of creativity and innovation with ability to provide solutions for unmet customer needs.
Demonstrated track record of intelligently challenging the status quo to improve business results and identify continuous process improvements.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency, and experience with Oracle a plus.
Strong leadership and influencing skills.
