Associate Director, Business Development Cell & Gene

The Associate Director Business Development Cell & Gene therapy implements defined Global Biotech Cooperation marketing strategy in alignment with Head Business Development (e.g. advertising, internet platforms, fairs, road shows). He/she attends and gives support in conferences, meetings and industry events.
Furthermore he /she establishes CDA\`s, quotes and proposals for clients.
Focuses on building and guiding relationships both internally (e.g. QA, production etc.) and externally (clients) to meet business needs and requirements.
He/ she contacts potential clients to establish rapport, arranges meetings and administers customer base.
He/ she tracks new markets, emerging trends and recommends services (market intelligence)
Major Accountabilities (Describe the 5-7 main results of the role to be achieved )
Implementation of defined Global Biotech Cooperation marketing strategy
Attendance and support in conferences (scientific and business related), meetings and industry events for Cell & Gene therapy
Lead and perform feasibility checks of identified business options (new projects). Lead and pre-pare quotes and proposals for clients in alignment with overall defined strategy
Organization and participation in fairs and conferences
Attendance in partnering sessions to receive business options
High Capacity Utilization in Cell & Gene Therapy sites - mitigated idle capacity with new customers or new projects within Biotech DS platform.

Minimum requirements
University degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or equivalent and MBA or equivalent
Fluent business English (and German, Slovenian or French preferred)
More than 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred in biologics industry or BD&L functions).
More than 3 years of experience in a contract development and manufacturing (CDMO, CRO...) or contract manufacturing organization (CMO) or similar.
Sound knowledge of basic business procedures, transactions, contract negotiations, customer relations and contract manufacturing business models.
Experienced in Global Project Management.
