Full time Insurance & Authorizations Associate needed for our State Programs Authorization Team

BAYADA Home Health Care, one of the nation's premier Home Health companies, has a full time opening for an Associate to become part of our dedicated State Programs Authorization team, conveniently located in Parsippany, NJ.

The Associate will perform intake and coordinate staffing of PCA referrals, as well as obtain and track insurance authorizations for hourly personal care services and confirm eligibility on a monthly basis. An important success factor for this role is the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with payors, referral sources, and internal BAYADA service offices. The successful candidate will have strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and an all hands on deck attitude. As the State Programs team focuses on Managed Medicaid payors, an understanding of managed care is a plus. You will have a caseload for which you are accountable for managing throughout its lifecycle. Use your insurance knowledge, organizational and follow up skills to build a career, while helping our clients to live better lives!

Work hours will be 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

As a member of our State Programs Authorization Support team, you will be responsible for supporting BAYADA assistive care state programs offices. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Performing intake for State Programs (assistive care) referrals

Knowledgeably and professionally handling incoming calls from referral sources

Interacting daily with various Managed Medicaid payors, as well as internal service offices

Obtaining, tracking & communicating insurance authorizations for hourly services

Confirming insurance eligibility on a monthly basis

Verifying deductibles, copays, exclusions, billing addresses

Obtaining Letter of Denial from primary insurances when needed

Building and maintaining relationships with payors and referral sources for PCA services

Providing Coordination of Service notes and submitting physician orders to payors as needed

Functioning as the main point of contact for the personal care offices to which you are assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred; will consider appropriate years of directly related experience in lieu of degree

Prior authorization experience preferred

Working knowledge/understanding of the Managed Care system

Superb customer service and telephone skills

Strong follow up skills and attention to detail

Prior case management experience a plus
