Performance Team, now part of the Maersk global organization under a combined Warehousing & Distribution division, offers third party logistics services to over 500 customers. Encompassing almost 15 million square feet of warehousing capacity throughout the country and a large transportation segment capturing a variety of services, PT has key supply chain hubs in the Los Angeles and New Jersey/New York areas, and other facilities along the Western & Eastern coasts along with multiple locations in the Midwest. Performance Team has delivered significant sales and profitability growth over the last 8 years and will drive the Inland Logistics and Services business for the combined US business units for Maersk.

Key responsibilities

\*You will support the leadership team in the North America region of Maersk, and be a key contributor towards keeping people engaged and informed about the strategy and transformation of the company.
\*Our Contract Logistics organization has doubled in size in the last year with the acquisition of Performance Team, a leader in warehousing, distribution, ecommerce logistics, and fulfillment in the United States and Canada, and is expected to continue to grow over the coming years.
\*As the company continues to integrate, this role will play an important part in its growth and transformation by supporting our senior leaders to engage in conversations with our 2,500+ colleagues in the United States and Canada plus more than 4,000 frontline employees working at over 50+ locations - a workforce that is responsible for keeping trade moving in one of the largest trading regions of the world.

\*Working in close collaboration with a diverse and dynamic team of colleagues in Copenhagen, New Jersey, California, and around the world, you will be part of setting the direction for our regional communication and collaborating across the organization to drive impactful leadership communication and tell business-relevant stories.
\*You will play an instrumental role in lifting Performance Team's internal communication, and by working together with Leadership, Human Resources, Marketing, and Public Relations.
\*Your role will be key in strengthening and promoting Performance Team's Employer Brand by crowdsourcing compelling and inspirational people stories that will captivate existing and new talent to join this growing organization.

Primary internal stakeholders
Reporting to our Global Head of Internal Communication & Strategic Projects based at our Headquarters in Copenhagen and with a functional reporting line to the North America Internal Communications Manager, you will be working out of El Segundo, California - but your workplace will be the entire North America region, as you will have daily and close interaction with colleagues everywhere across the United States and Canada.

\*We are looking for someone who is passionate about leadership communication and has the ability to turn potentially complex topics into appealing messages, create engaging conversations and make people want to contribute to the successful execution of our Global Integrator strategy.
\*A communications professional who is creative, has a digital-first approach and master the various disciplines of strategic communication.
\*You know what it takes to capture the interest of an audience; you are persistent in your efforts to identify and develop messaging about our strategic transformation.
\*The internal communications team works in a flexible and agile way to support the business where they need us most, and hence every day is different. One day you may be working to support a key change project in the business impacting parts of the organization, while the next day you are moderating a townhall or creating the script for a leadership podcast.

Required Experience & Skills
\*Strong leadership communication skills and the ability to simplify complex and technical topics
\*Highly experienced in supporting senior stakeholders with their communication needs and deliver high-quality output
\*Excellent collaboration and relationship skills
\*Able to build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders by listening, advising and executing at a consistently high level
\*An avid learner, able to work with diverse subjects and technical experts and turn their inputs into compelling communication with a strong link to the strategic transformation
\*Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Marketing, Media Relations, Internal Communications or similar roles.
\*BA degree in Communications, Business, or other related discipline.
\*Superb writing and communications skills.
\*Well-versed in communicating with different audiences, using traditional channels and new digital platforms (including social media) to drive conversation and engagement
\*Ideal candidate will be experienced in producing their own work in multiple formats, including live or virtual town halls, written content, podcast, video etc.
\*Knowledge of Microsoft O365 - Teams, Yammer, SharePoint is a plus.
\*Some level of Spanish proficiency is a plus.
\*Experience working in a highly regulated industry and/or labor relations is a plus.
