Associate Director - Data Platform and Integration Lead

Job Purpose
2021 is an exciting year for Novartis as we accelerate our growth in the digital space.
As an Associate Director of Data platform and Integration, you are responsible for providing leadership in building our foundational data infrastructure essential to growing and scaling our marketing and customer engagement efforts. You will join our full-stack team responsible for data, analytics, and predictive modeling to accelerate and optimize our next generation experience for customers. In this role, you will own significant portions of our marketing and customer engagement data from end-to-end, including data ingestion, transformation, and visualization, and design our data architecture to ensure best-in-class operational, reliability, and modularity. This role is crucially important to under-standing the needs of today's digitally connected customer.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
\* Serve as a subject matter expert of our suite of customer experience, marketing and orchestration technology, including playing a key role in the integration of data from platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sprinklr, and Customer data platform, DMP and other similar platforms.
\* Additionally, lead/support data tools and platforms to meet data needs including collecting requirements, managing stakeholder buy-in, vendor RFPs and evaluations, contract negotiations, implementation, project-managing roll out and ensuring adoption.
\* With each new product iteration (features, enhancements or new solutions altogether), evaluate benefit to the business teams, prioritize and promote internally
\* Deliver user training and support channel managers from a technical perspective on acquisition, retention, and cultivation efforts.
\* Own the Marketing Automation process via Sprinklr, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Epsilon, Veeva, and CDP, including:
\* Responsible for developing architectural solutions for an Enterprise data platform supporting da-ta ingestion, data sourcing from multiple systems (especially our Mar-Tech stack) and data management using our latest technologies.
\* Drive the design for the Customer Data Platform (CDP) to provide added insights from data needed to drive strategies, such as understanding of offer responsiveness, personalization, content relevancy and communications channel engagement.
\* Design data ingestion techniques and build efficient and scalable data applications through use of APIs, Python, Spark, and Data Management best practices and build futuristic and scalable AWS cloud-based data analytics platform to support digital and social transformation at Novartis.

Minimum requirements
What you'll bring to the role:
\* Undergraduate degree required. Masters preferred or equivalent experience with a background in leading complex large-scale projects with high touch, high pace, multi project environment
\* Minimum 10+ years of experience in stakeholder management, directly leading data/ business teams for business impact with proven experienced in building data platforms with integration of data from source like SFMC, Websites, Google Analytics, Social Media, Internal data sources and third party data using APIs
\* Experience in architecting, building, and maintaining end-to-end, high-throughput data systems and their supporting services for Life Sciences with experience in data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques
\* Experience with Python, data ingestion tools (Airflow / Matillion / DataIku) and the AWS ecosystem with extensive experience of building models in pharma domain, ability to create data maps, to design data architecture with standard data models and information flows using Datalku / Matillion / Airflow into Snowflake and Postgres
\* Experience of setting up AWS platform and services like EC2, RDS, VPC needed for building an end-to-end cloud solution and experience with SQL and ETL optimization techniques, especially within cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, and/or Redshift
