Be a part of building a novel data, analytics, and technology engine to achieve the best and disruptively efficient Medical Intelligence and Real-World Evidence to understand and improve population health, physician behavior, & patient access.
The Director, Analytic Tools will work closely with the Director of Analytic Product Development to develop scalable analytic tools that support Novartis Medical Access strategy and Medical Intelligence on payers. In addition, she/he will also work to create scalable analytics across the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HE&OR) and Population Health teams. Work with the Value Research Design team to gather and organize use cases, translate research requirements into technical requirements that can be completed by the Analytic Tools development team (data engineering and statistics/machine learning teams). Review and communicate analytic outputs with partners to ensure understanding and usability. Support sprint and agile development with rapid test/learn strategy. Manage the analytic feature and software product backlog and manage development prioritization. Obtain systematic feedback on analytic tools and software applications through (user feedback and use patterns) to measure the value of tools and drive next generation feature prioritization and resourcing.
Analytic tools span the spectrum from rigorous protocol driven studies to exploratory analyses that incorporate modern statistical methods and the development of industrial data pipelines and analytic deployment to create disruptive efficiency.
Help accelerate the Novartis strategy of Quality Improvement/ Implementation Science external (Systems of Care, Payer, etc..) partnerships through the development of Technology and Analytic solutions.
Lead specific analytic tool development
\*Own, define, and manage the portfolio strategy for all HE&OR and Medical Access analytic and software products
\*Drive the organization through discovery, definition, design and delivery phases
\*Ensure Business/Value perspectives drive the solution development
\*Be the interface between the Analytic Tool Development team and the Value Research Design team to work with key partners (Population Health, HEOR, and Medical Access teams) and identify evidence gaps, translate user requirements to technical requirements for the development team.
\*Support sprint and agile development with rapid test/learn strategy.
\*Manage the analytic feature and software backlog and manage development prioritization.
\*Own, lead and support regular development planning processes for all products
\*Support development team during development and verification of solutions

Minimum requirements
\*MS or PhD in Computer Science, informatics, statistics, applied mathematics, epidemiology or other quantitative fields preferred
\*5+ years of experience developing healthcare information products in real-world data applications. preferred
\*Expert in applying agile processes focused on continuous improvement and efficiency.
\*Software product development or technology background.
\*Experience with execution of observational research study design in a variety of real-world data sources in pharmaceuticals, tech, consulting or academia.
\*Experience leading and developing analytic plans for research protocols requiring an in-depth knowledge of research design and empirical methodologies used in RWE and HEOR.
