IT Support Technician II


The IT Help Desk is the central point of contact for all IT related incidents and service requests. The role of the IT Support Technician is to provide front line support for all staff. The IT Support Technician is responsible for resolving support requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands. The desktop support technician is required to track all support requests through a ticketing system and track all resolutions to issues. IT Support staff work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which provides services over the phone, through e-mail, and in person.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of building and configuring PCs and laptops, loading software, and conducting audits for unlicensed software
Minimum 5 years' experience
Experience with Office 365
Must be a US Citizen

Additional Desired Qualifications:
Network cabling experience is considered a plus
Knowledge of JIRA Service Desk or a similar ticketing system a plus
Software/Hardware Deployment experience
Scripting/Automation experience

Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:
Complete work orders such as: Installing equipment
Connecting and moving devices
Installing disk drives, memory and other hardware components
Software installations
Install Windows OS on new computers

Performs preventive maintenance for computer, data communication and/or peripheral equipment
Sets up technology for new hires
Provide desktop, mobile device, phone and email usage support and training to new users
Configure and managing batch files along with other Windows scripting.
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment
Adhere to policies for access control and security administration, including password troubleshooting and password resets
Assemble, install, configure and test computer equipment
Install and configure new IT equipment
Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Able to work in a team as well as independently
Experienced in providing professional and courteous customer service
Provisioning and monitoring of cloud infrastructure (Citrix, Azure & AWS)
Office 365 User, license and endpoint management

Work Environment:
This job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).
This is a full-time position. On-call rotation and occasional weekend support is expected.
This position is based in Montville and may require occasional travel to our Parsippany office location.
No regular travel is expected for this position

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear
The employee is frequently required to reach and lift with hands and arms, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel
The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, turn, etc., and move about the facility
The employee may be required to lift, push, pull and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds
