Bayer U.S. LLC, headquartered in Whippany, NJ, seeks a Medical Science Liaison II - Oncology to liaise with global, regional, and local medical and commercial teams to ensure execution of global oncology medical strategy at the regional and local country level as it applies to MSLs and MSAs. Will also oversee development of MSL/MSA strategy and its implementation, which includes training, congresses, and insight generation activities, and creating and roll-out of educational and tactical resources to the oncology community. Will also: (i) provide scientific expertise and objective information to healthcare providers and researchers in therapeutic areas of interest; (ii) serve as technical and scientific support in the field for healthcare providers, ensuring safe and effective use of products; and (iii) develop a complete understanding of national and regional experts in specific therapeutic categories and will collaborate with internal business partners as an expert consultant to meet specific scientific needs.
Employee can work remotely/at home, and will be responsible for product territory in New York, New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania.
Must have a masterís degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in a related position.
Must also have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) working in a large, multi-national pharmaceutical company with a diverse therapeutic portfolio (ii) product lifecycle management from launch to maintenance; (iii) didactic teaching experience (i.e., lectures on related topics presented at university type setting); (iv) pharmaceutical clinical research and drug development specific to rare diseases/oncology; (v) providing therapeutic and product expertise to internal cross-functional partners, supporting marketing, market access, and regulatory affairs team strategies; (vi) developing, maintaining, and growing professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide objective, unbiased medical and scientific support; (vii) delivering balanced and engaging presentations to stakeholders, healthcare providers, and patient groups on rare disease/oncology disease states and therapeutics; (viii) planning, designing, and implementing consultant meetings, advisory boards and other learning activities to drive medical communication and insight generation; (ix) contributing to the development of medical strategy and developing medical POA for current and pipeline therapies; (x) working with medical leadership team to develop KOL and stakeholder engagement plans in accordance with overall strategic brand plan; (xi) serving as an active member of strategic teams aimed at improving organizational efficiencies and growth; and (xii) collaborating with cross-functional team and contributing to sales training.
Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally to various unanticipated employer and client locations (both within and outside normal product territory) up to 75%.
