The Pharmacometrics Oncology group is searching for an Associate Director Pharmacometrics. In this role, you will drive the pharmacometrics strategy for assigned clinical programs in multiple disease areas, contribute to clinical development efficiency by integrating pharmacokinetics, biomarkers, and surrogate endpoints into study design and reporting to allow better informed decisions. You will also serve as an individual contributor with strong knowledge of drug development pharmacometrics across related indications/areas.
What you'll be doing:
\*Acts as a key functional expert to lead, direct and coordinate the activities of a specific assigned area, project or team of experienced specialists
\*Leads the decision-making process for establishing multidisciplinary project/program goals within own team
\*Mentors others to develop their own leadership skills and identifies/develops talent
\*Provides strategic expertise and leadership for development programs based on relevant technical and disease area knowledge
\*In collaboration with cross functional/divisional quantitative partners and project teams, provide support for the quantitative evaluation of competing trial/analysis strategies
\*Develops, writes and executes pharmacometrics analysis plans, and deliver reports on results
\*Defines and drives pharmacometrics contributions to regulatory/submission strategy and related documents
\*May manage portfolios at disease area/therapeutic area/indication level to support integration of pharmacometrics and relevant knowledge in the planning and execution of programs and strategies

Minimum requirements
What you will bring:
\*Ph.D. in pharmacology, biology, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a field with significant modeling-related content (or equivalent) with 6+ years relevant work experience; 4+ years in applying model based methods in pre-clinical and clinical drug development.
\*Fluent in English (oral and written)
\*Track record of contributions to external white-papers/policy shaping best practice in pharmacometrics. Internally and externally established track record of developing/establishing pharmacometrics excellence. Experience in contributing to global scientific improvement/change initiatives.
\*Expert knowledge and evidence of hands-on experience in the application of pharmacometrics methods to drug development
\*Record of interaction with regulatory agencies.
\*Clinical, pharmacological and therapeutic knowledge of at least one disease area
\*Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) bridging scientific and business needs - integrating quantitative sciences, strong disease area knowledge and appropriate market/competitive intelligence
\*Scientific leadership skills demonstrated in facilitating and optimizing the (early/full) clinical development strategy. Track record for global scientific leadership in the development and evaluation of modern program/trial design methodologies
\*Excellent communication and presentation skills and in particular the ability to effectively represent pharmacometrics issues to clinical teams.
