Zoetis, Inc. This position reports to the Global Supply Chain & Logistics and Affiliate Quality Leader. The Regional Supply Chain & Logistics Quality Leader will have overall responsibility to assure quality objectives are met by Zoetis internal Logistic Centers (LCs) and external Logistics Services Providers (LSPs) and to provide internal quality consulting to Zoetis SCL and Commercial leaders within the USA and Canada. The Zoetis logistics network in USA and Canada includes roughly 7 LSPs and 9 Zoetis LCs. The regional SCL QOLeader will have direct reports and will serve as a partner alongside other stakeholders in the USA/Canada region (ESQA, GES, VMRD, VMRA, GMT, SCL, and commercial colleagues) to enable business objectives by meeting quality objectives in the US and Canada Region. The regional SCLQO Leader will oversee the risk-based approach to managing quality aspects of external partners that include: contractors, distributors, logistics service providers. The use of appropriate metrics and trending of data is expected for daily assessment of USA & Canada supply channels and associated contract partners. The regional SCLQO leader will work closely with ESQA, SCL and GES organizations to coordinate business activities, communicate priorities, drive problem to resolution and proactively work to maintain product supply. -The role is responsible for the Supply Quality interface with SCL, regulatory and Commercial staff in the USA & Canada region, providing guidance on Quality and Compliance aspects for Supply pertaining to the region. It includes ensuring the SCL and Commercial leaders are aware and trained on the Zoetis standards and that the standards are implemented. The Regional SCLQO Leader will develop longer term Quality Strategy objectives and Quality Roadmaps to keep the USA/Canada region compliant with applicable quality regulations, maintain agility, and ensure effectiveness across the Business. The Regional SCL QO Leader will establish/maintain appropriate processes and metrics to manage the unit and enhance problem solving at regional level of the SCL quality organization. Quality Council Leadership is essential to realizing the overall Quality Culture for the Business in the USA & Canada region. Organizational Quality Responsibilities: Serving as a quality culture role model, and promoting a strong Quality & Compliance culture in the USA & Canada Region that translates into a Right- First-Time mindset and insures the effectiveness of the Quality Management System. Ensuring Quality System Standards and Processes are appropriate and up to date for the SCL Quality USA and Canada Region. Develop long-term Quality strategy for the SCL USA and Canada operations. Organizational Goals translated/adapted to SCL Quality USA & Canada region goals. Creation / Management of the Quality Roadmap for the SCL USA & Canada region. SCL Quality Functional and Process Responsibilities: Development and Management of USA & Canada SCL Quality Process Goals and Metrics. Ensure Quality Products are available to the USA and Canada marketplace by managing key processes that include: product release; late labeling (if applicable); temperature monitoring/excursions; master data; and licenses. Develop and Maintain the appropriate Risk Management Process and mechanisms for managing Contract Service Providers and Zoetis owned Logistic Centers in the USA & Canada product supply channels. Host regulatory agencies and be the Zoetis SCL Quality representative during regulatory inspections at Zoetis owned logistic centers. Ensure adequate Quality oversight is provided for LSPs, Distributors, Re-packers, and Transporters in the USA & Canada region. Ensure that Quality Agreements are in-place, adequate, current, and in-use, when required. Assist USA & Canada Operations in Supply Flexibility and maintaining compliance / adherence to Zoetis Standards (especially for market launches; transfers; change control; and late labeling if applicable). Establish strong working relationships with USA & Canada SCL, regulatory and commercial personnel. Work as a Quality Partner with SCL, regulatory and commercial to advise / train on key Quality Standards and Processes. Lead strategic and tactical deployment of problem solving and other methodologies leading to continuous improvements in the USA & Canada region and Customer channels; Monitoring CAPA effectiveness. Assuring the use of operational excellences tools in quality processes. Establish and Co-Lead the Quality Governance Council for the USA and Canada region with the USA & Canada Supply Chain and Logistic Lead, to inform management about product quality and process performance, quality risks, compliance with internal and external requirements. Use trended metrics and audit data to drive initiatives for increased performance. Manage the reporting of applicable metrics for the SCL USA and Canada Region. Travel about 25% of time, mostly domestic. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report into work site. Bachelorís Degree in Life Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Veterinary, Chemistry, Biology, or related and 10 years of experience required.
