Head (Director), Strategy, Business Planning & Operations

You will contribute to and drive the strategic agenda for the Pharmaceuticals business and Country-level organization for ERC in the U.S. You will also lead the planning and operational management of the ERC function and serve as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Compliance Officer of Novartis in the U.S. (CCO).
This includes the following:
ERC Strategy, Communications, and Coordination:
\* Continually synthesize ERC-related insights from multiple sources to inform company risk management priorities
\* Function as Lead for ERC on organizational transformation projects
\* Prepare agendas and meeting materials for key governance bodies overseeing the Compliance Program, including: Compliance Committees, Novartis Boards of Directors, Pharma Executive Committee, and Country Leadership Team, as well as departmental events
\* Support the COO on presentations developed for management review and decision
\* Prepare and disseminate clear communications regarding key decisions and next steps coming out of meetings
\* Coordinate with Global Pharma ERC and Group ERC on projects of strategic importance to the U.S.
\* Optimize and lead execution of key ERC management processes and operations (e.g., budgeting; leadership team agendas)
\* Ensure team alignment by cascading ERC priorities and goals and by developing and overseeing internal communications for ERC
\* Develop and implement appropriate metrics and benchmarks to measure the function's performance over time

What you'll bring to the role:
\* Bachelor degree is required.
\* Advanced degree is preferred.
\* 4+ years in strategic business planning, consulting, planning (Financial strategy, Management consulting, etc.)
\* Expertise and influencing of Top leaders
\* Experience at a top tier management consulting firm
\* You think strategically. Effectively and quickly synthesize disparate information and observations in order to frame an issue and lead a process to resolve it
\* Engaged to do the tactical work needed accomplish goals
\* Known for excellent collaboration skills - demanding and focused, and people like working with you so much so that you don't need to rely on reporting hierarchies to get things done
\* Exceptional written, presentation, and business communications skills that can be applied up and down the organization - adept to write a clear, compelling, and substantive storyline in PowerPoint and Word with clear and well supported recommendations and concrete next steps.
