Job Description


Responsible for delivering against packaging innovation, margin enhancement, brand maintenance and quality agenda projects. Lead development and commercialization of innovative packaging initiatives, working closely with NA cross-functional partners. Serve as technical project leader on cross-functional project teams managing the technical timeline, providing timely communication, outlining issues, risks and contingency plans. Generate, develop and execute packaging ideas by leveraging existing and new equipment. Troubleshoot issues that arise from package development, line trials and commercialization. Conduct, coordinate functional testing including plant trials, lab testing, shelf life studies and material vendor evaluations, including analysis of data, results and follow up recommendations and action plans.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Packaging Science, Chemistry, or related science field, plus 5 years of experience in the offered role or related position leading the development and commercialization of packaging initiatives in the food and beverage industry. Must have experience: generating, developing and executing packaging ideas; developing packaging requirements from pilot-tool stage through production-scale factory; planning and conducting analytical testing, line trials and package performance testing; conducting performance testing and validation of materials and product interaction through simulated transit testing; conducting trial development and execution using lab and pilotscale equipment; and working cross-functionally to develop and align on packaging and technology platforms. Must have experience with the following tools/technologies: 2D (Artios CAD) & 3D (Onshape & Solidworks) CAD; 3D printing; CAD Cutting Table; Adobe Illustrator; and Photoshop.
