Job Description



The primary responsibilities of this role, Chief of Staff U.S. Communications, are to:

Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution in collaboration with senior leadership, ie Million Hearts Campaign and Luke Brian Farm Tour;
Manage, develop and communicate about U.S. Communications strategy and managing strategic projects for our team;
Engage with the news media about telling the Bayer story externally. Serve as a spokesperson for Bayer U.S.;
Oversee daily operations through collaboration with senior leaders, performing an array of duties that include maintaining documents and planning and coordinating meetings;
Build and develop relationships with employees for increased efficiency in operations;
Manage key performance indicators and implement organizational wide metrics, analytics and reporting methods in order to measure communications success and Bayer's reputation in the U.S.;
Coordinate the preparation and dissemination of external communications.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communications with at least 10 years of related experience;
Establish workload priorities on a daily basis;
Excellent communicator in written and verbal form, including PowerPoint, excel, etc.;
Demonstrate the ability to complete assignments with competing priorities and deadlines with modest supervision;
Experience with budget management;
Experience with data analysis;
Proven success in a project coordination role;
Work independently with professional discretion, sound judgment and high level of confidentiality;
Demonstrate the ability to implement detailed operational initiatives;
Passionate about his/her work and opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the Communications team and Bayer;
High level of comfort working with senior executives;
Team player with strong interpersonal skills;
Ability to work with a high degree of independence, within and across teams, and under time pressure;
Agility and flexibility are crucial;
Possess strong, sound judgment, be diplomatic;
Ability to represent the Bayer brand with integrity;

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communications;
Media experience.
