Ferring is building a team of individuals to launch what is poised to become the first-ever FDA-approved microbiome-based therapeutic. We are seeking an established and dynamic InstitutionalNational Sales Director (iNSD) to join Ferring's microbiome launch team. This role will be integral in deploying institutional sales professionals to achieve a successful first-in-class launch in the C. diff space, and activating Ferring's vision for the future of microbiome-based therapies. The iNSD builds and leads the institutional sales organization and is responsible for the selection, management and professional development of direct management to achieve a best in industry launch. The iNSD also establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with key internal and external customers to achieve sales goals and business objectives.

Build, lead, coach and develop sales teams focused on exceeding business expectations.
Work with business leadership / marketing and other internal sales leaders to create and translate brand strategy into a national plan of action used to drive sales. Develop and complete account planning tools and resources/ reporting.
Ensure career and sales skill development for constantly changing market conditions. Sales meeting planning and execution.
Analyze and understand markets and customers, use knowledge to drive recommendations for sales force excellence, business optimization and expansion.
Create and grow relationships with KOLs (hospital / system) and other key stakeholders within and outside Ferring to ensure maximum support and collaboration.
Identify and drive collaboration with cross functional teams to benefit patients.
Develop and manage business relationships with top customers.
Understand and communicate current and future market and challenges in the healthcare industry; discern trends and leverage data to optimize business decisions.
Drive organizational launch learnings to ensure necessary strategy / executional evolution.
Sales Leadership of strategic sales personnel: Key Accounts, IDN, Strategic Accounts or similar.
Takes on additional responsibilities beyond sales function: demonstrates leadership, mentoring, coaching in formalized and non formalized settings to improve the quality of professionalism and leadership.

Bachelor's degree; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
At least 10+ years in pharma or specialty sales in a senior management position with a minimum of 5+ years of documented success as a national sales leader. Experience should include deep knowledge and proven success in hospital sales and national / regional systems.
Prior job experience in regional / national accounts, marketing, market access, analytics, training or related roles.
Product launch experience is required.
Experience with buy and bill outpatient facilities required.
Must have experience with account planning including tools, resources, and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally to build a new franchise.
Ability to travel to perform job duties.
Infectious disease or Gastroenterology experience required.
Achieve or exceed sales objectives.
Hire, motivate, develop and retain talent.
Identify potential customers and add to customer base.
Identify potential significant business opportunities and grow customer base.
