Regional, P&O BP (Assoc Dir)- LACan (Part-time 60%)

Job Description

Directly responsible for the strategic design, evaluation, management, and implementation of P&O agenda across Regulatory Affairs (RA) and Patient Safety (PA) Regions in LACan and US. Provides strategic P&O support and drives People & Culture and Transformative Innovation agenda across the regions, while partnering with local PO to ensure Operational Excellence and delivery. In doing so, the role holder partners with global, regional, and local P&OBPs, COEs and business leaders

This includes the following areas:

Strategy & Planning:
\* Work closely with the Global heads of P&O and company leaders of RA and PS to develop and action the business plan, highlighting potential P&O related business opportunities/weaknesses.
\* Lead global function related projects to develop compliant and consistent P&O programs aligned with the Business strategy in the areas of capability building, talent development, rewards and recognition, workforce planning, talent acquisition, change management, and organization design & development (OD&D) activities.
\* Builds a strong relationship with senior managers within GDD in all countries / sites. Strives to become an accepted and trusted BP and coach. Understands the organization and its objectives, challenges, and initiatives. Actively contributes to management meetings to provide P&O perspective on key organizational issues. Consults with and coaches managers and leaders to influence and facilitate developing their organizational priorities and related change initiatives.

CMO & PS Countries & Regions (50%):
\* Responsibility for the CMO & PS Countries & Regions with direct oversight of CMO & PS US & Canada and LACan.

Regulatory Affairs (50%):
\* Manage RA LACan Region for above country needs as outlined above.

People & Organization:
\* As a trusted BP, facilitates and coaches in change management and OD&D initiatives.
\* Provide change management support to transformation and restructuring efforts.
\* Mentor/drive senior leadership team on key P&O processes, e.g. performance management, talent discussions, and succession planning.
\* Coach assigned leadership team and support them in their coaching and mentoring activities in their own teams.
\* Recommend effective training and development for key associates.
\* Drive cultural change and champion diversity and inclusion (D&I) within the organization.

Development:
\* Coordinates regional OTR process in client group. Identifies together with P&O and line management in countries High Potentials / Promotables, gets to know them personally, takes interest and active part in their development plans and career development, brings them to the attention of next level management teams.
\* Proactively supports internal promotion and early developmental assignments of identified talents. Coaches to roll the OTR further down their organization. Facilitates P&O professional development across countries.

P&O processes:
\* Provides input to global P&O strategies, processes, and uses internal & external benchmarking. Initiates and executes functional P&O strategy by establishing and communicating clear objectives and roles.
\* Leads or participates in P&O projects striving to improve processes and projects that tailor new global processes to local needs. Collaborate and support of Corporate and Division -wide initiatives, such as Cross Divisional policies & programs.

Recruitment/ Selection:
\* Participates in recruitment for senior positions.

Reward:
\* Implements and executes the global salary review process within own area. Contributes to developing recognition strategies that facilitate and support the attraction and retention of top performers.

Labor Law:
\* Has general knowledge of employment regulations and individual local labor law in countries/regions and partners with local P&O when needed.

Networking:
\* Builds networks within own geographical area and other regional teams.
\* Actively contributes ideas & solutions to the global P&O network as a teammate.

GDD P&O Coordination:
\* Actively partners with P&O across functions and in GDD Country Coordinator network.

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

Education:
\* Bachelor's degree is required
\* Subject area in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or Legal is preferred

Experience:
\* Minimum of 6+ years of direct P&O BP/ COEs experience, per above
\* Experience building and maintaining positive interpersonal relations and proactive stakeholder engagement
\* Expertise working with internal / external labor relations
\* Experienced in an ambiguous/ challenging environment and taking a proactive approach to initiate and introduce best in class P&O practices to ensure strong support to client group
\* Capable to facilitate organizational change initiatives and mentor line management
\* Developed and implemented clear performance measurements in line with business needs (KPIs)

SKILLS:
\* Project management experience; focuses on solutions and initiates actions
\* Ability to work in a matrix organization; good understanding of client group's business & organizational challenges and can translate them into concrete P&O requirements
\* Experience with multi-cultural teams; displays cultural sensitivity. Involves international P&O team in planning & problem solving to ensure they have the information, training & coaching to improve performance
\* Fast-action oriented; able to action change management initiatives and coaches line management
\* Knowledgeable in Management Development and Organizational Development tools and processes
