Your Role

Gensler's Morristown office is seeking an experienced HR Manager who will be involved with all aspects of Human Resources. This is an opportunity to be part of designing the strategic HR service model in a cutting-edge environment, in addition to being hands-on, working closely with the HR team and office leadership.

What You Will Do

Manage the day to day HR functions of the Morristown office including employee relations, on-boarding, immigration, compensation, and policies/practices

Work closely with office and studio leadership on performance management, recruiting, learning, and professional development programs

Act as thought partner to studio leadership and develop talent strategies aligned to business objectives

Facilitate global mobility of employees with transfer, relocation, and visa processing

Support full lifecycle of the employee from on-boarding, engagement, development, exit, and retirement

Manage Gensler special recognition programs

Partner with HR Director regarding compensation and reward programs

Analyze talent data, reports, metrics to inform talent decisions

Participate in developing performance management tools, formalizing succession planning, and proactively developing staff and leadership

Implement talent development and training programs and processes in partnership with Talent Development Manager

Partner with HR team colleagues to create and innovate HR practices

Understand all Gensler policies and ensure compliance within the Morristown office

Manage support staff for the Morristown office (Receptionist, Assistants)

Other duties and responsibilities as appropriate

Your Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related area required

10+ years of Human Resources experience, professional services firm experience preferred

PHR/SHRM-CP certification or equivalent preferred

Working knowledge of employment law and compliance regulations at federal, state and local levels

Proficient in the use of HRIS (Workday preferred) and MS Office Suite applications, particularly Excel

Experience managing a team and ability to inspire and lead

Strong interpersonal communications skills

Ability to assess and diagnose employment issues, quickly and confidently decide the best course of action out of a range of possible solutions

Strong business acumen; extensive skills in thinking strategically and tactically; proven ability to see beyond the specific interests of the Human Resources function to the broader picture, understanding the significance of decisions as they affect the firm

Strong project management skills; ability to handle multiple competing priorities; excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility.

Proven ability to lead/manage change and the ability to coach, evaluate and mentor.

Highly developed analytical and data interpretation skills; ability to use metrics to facilitate decision-making and to manage the business.

Ability to work independently, navigate and maintain productivity in a matrix environment
