Job Description



The primary responsibilities of this role, Product Supply Regional Business Partner Americas, are to:

Be the Consumer Health PS Business Partner for the manufacturingsites and hub in NA and LATAM;
Oversee the effective and timely pursue of all PS related controlling activities within this region, by including but not limited toplanning and reporting tasks;
Act as PS expert to support efficient controlling processes and ensure alignment across planning and reporting activities;
Be accountable for the financial management of the manufacturing sites and the PS hub of the respective region and ensureprofitable andproductive operations;
Responsible for productive use of plant assets and contributing to the profitability of the Consumer Health Division;
Provide input relative to financial management and control of operations;
Coordinate with other facility departments to most effectively and efficiently support and complement the plants andmanufacturing operations and mission by providing financial commentary, trend analysis, and variance reporting and review;
Serve as the PS Controlling business partner to regional commercialcontrolling teams;
Actively Drive alignment between commercial and manufacturing orginization and needs
Contribute to the S&OP process in regard to aligning demand and production quantity, thus directly impacting profitability through minimizing production variances, write offs and working capital;
Provide leadership for and support to the develop and implement cost saving initiatives and objectives in conjunctionwith the Region Manufacturing and Commercial Teams, execute deviation analysis;
Drive an Operational Excellence (OE) culture within the network and promote and support respective initiatives;
Provide direction and management for each section within Controlling, as appropriate, in accordance with Global and Divisional policies, as well as within generally accepted accounting principles;
Ensure proper monitoring of production deviations and special product costs;
Participate with site departments to continually improve productivity and profitability through the assessment of the financial impacts of new products, transfer in/out of products and services, feasibility studies, and the installation of new equipment and/or processes for the manufacture, engineering, and distribution of products;
Continuously Develop CH PS controlling groups in the region byimproving skill set of individual teams in the frame of the overall purpose of the division and unit, as well as the leadership principles of customer focus, collaboration, experimentation and trust;
Actively Support teams in reviews of their tasks, activities to learn from eachother and look for constant improvements;
Implement development plans for the single team members, actively promote potentials within the CH PS overall network and look for successor candidates;
Ensure compliance with audit and control function with/through Consumer Health and Internal Accounting, Finance and independent auditor;
Drive participation of the teams for all requested compliance trainings;
Lead as example in constantly looking to improve safety of our employees.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree;
10- 15 years' experience of progressive responsibility for controlling/accounting, including experience in controlling activities of plant or plant controller;
Profound knowledge of manufacturing organization, process and information systems as well as Bayer product costing and valuation principles;
Extensive knowledge of PC and IT applications (MS Office, SAP-FI/CO, ERP SAP, COSMOS, PROKON, Advanced analytical, XLCubed Tableau);
Ability to lead, coach and motivate cross-functional/divisional teams across the globe, even without a direct R or F line responsibility;
Aability to develop junior talents to the next level;
Build Effective Teams;
Experience in manufacturing and supply chain processes;
Combine exceptional conceptual, excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills with leadership capabilities and the ability to successfully deal with multiple cultures;
Expert interpersonal skills, team player, for bridging between business participants, for negotiating and for effective international collaborations;
Strong planning and tracking skills, able to see big picture, well-organized, focused on results;
Ability to stand his/her ground even in pressure situation;
Ability to aggregate information for high level management communication;
Able to deal with changing circumstances and ability to handle situations which by their nature are ambiguous;
Fluency in English;
Traveling 20%.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in controlling/accounting;
Fluency in German and Spanish.
