This position will report to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and is responsible for identifying, prioritizing and driving strategic initiatives related to the continuous improvement, optimization and enhancement of supply chain, logistics, procurement and related plan-to-deliver operations. The role will require close and careful engagement with various teams throughout the global organization including operations, customer service, commercial, business planning, logistics, finance and procurement. The role will need to quickly learn and observe existing supply chain operations, systems, roles and processes in various global and local business lines so as to be able to make smart, strategic recommendations, work with business and corporate leadership to prioritize, and then lead execution and value capture from those initiatives.
Essential Job Functions:
Plans, prioritizes and leads strategic initiatives to deliver greater efficiency and effectiveness across global supply chains
Builds, establishes and leverages a Supply Chain Center of Excellence including establishment of a global supply chain services team which will provide leveraged, leading-practice, cost-effective support for day-to-day operations and transformational projects. This team will supply execution resourcing for many of the strategic initiatives in this area across regions and lines of business.
Possesses strong analytical ability and uses data to quantify challenges and employs a methodical approach to solve complex problems
Collaborates and engages with cross-functional leaders and partners in Planning & Allocation, Global Sourcing, Global Logistics, and Warehouse Operations to develop and execute strategic plans resulting in increased conversion, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty
Makes recommendations related to annual budget, headcount, and operating plans - and continuously evaluates all aspects of the supply chain operation to identify opportunities to optimize cost and deliver P&L savings
Supports compliance, scorecard performance, vendor management, financial penalties and chargebacks related to supply chain operations
Ensures robust metrics are in place to measure the effectiveness of processes, including creating systems to measure all areas of distribution and fulfilment performance, inventory and delivery metrics, against financial plans and best-in-class standards
Provide Distribution analysis and educated advice for industry trends and opportunities.
Review changes in distribution philosophies to increase operational efficiencies and strive for continuous improvement, while planning strategically for the future of the business
Lead RFP process, selection, and management of consulting partners for projects
Develops, aligns and manages a portfolio of strategic initiatives over short, medium and long-term planning horizons, including schedules and budgets
Assess and challenge all departmental processes with an eye towards innovation and operational excellence, while adhering to regulatory compliance
Routine updates to senior management throughout project lifecycle
Travels to regions and develops local relationships with execution teams
Recruits and develops high performing talent to foster a results-oriented environment
Provides clear leadership and direction, driving accountability and sustained business growth
Holds self and teams responsible for measuring and reporting both operational and financial performance to drive enhanced individual and team performance
Regularly conducts team meetings to keep associates informed and engaged of the Company's vision, goals, and quarterly distribution objectives
Maintains a culture of diversity and inclusion across all levels

Position Requirements

Minimum BA/BS required in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field, MS/MBA Desirable
15+ years in a supply chain leadership role, with experience across multiple disciplines including supply/demand planning, sourcing, procurement, fulfillment, logistics and distribution and/or equivalent consulting experience
Exceptional analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
Experience working with 3PLs
Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to build a high performing team
Demonstrated strategic leadership experience
Innovative mindset, crisis management, large project implementation and governance, insight/data driven analysis and decision making, quality, safety and compliance mindset, global mindset, influencing
Proven success working in a complex, highly matrixed, global organization with rapidly changing priorities and tight timelines is required
Possesses strong analytical ability and uses data to quantify challenges and provide structure to solve complex problems
Leadership experience within a diverse organization
Experience in developing and building diverse, high performing teams
SAP / APO or other comparable planning software experience required; SAP S/4 HANA experience strongly preferred
Multi language proficiency is a plus
