YOUR POSITION WITH TNC

The Donor Stewardship Coordinator provides critical administrative, operations and project management support for the Donor Stewardship team, along with select administrative support for the broader Donor Relations department. This position reports to the Associate Director of Donor Stewardship and will learn and apply Donor Relations and Stewardship best practices to support a high-functioning Donor Stewardship team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The responsibilities of this position will primarily support the operations needs of the Donor Stewardship team and defined administrative needs of the Donor Relations department and its Directors.

The Donor Stewardship Coordinator will support the Donor Stewardship team in order to deliver timely, customized stewardship to the organization's top donors. Responsibilities include:

Maintaining stewardship strategies in the fundraising management system (Blackbaud CRM) through regular meetings with Stewardship Managers and attending key donor strategy reviews.
Pulling and analyzing monthly stewardship reports to track and communicate deadlines.
Working within Blackbaud CRM, Sharepoint, and other internal systems to produce reports, perform analysis and research, and maintain the team's grant management system and donor files.
Project managing organization-wide cohort communications led by the Donor Stewardship team, such as the Annual Report mailing.
Project managing team retreats and other significant meetings.
Contributing to creative donor stewardship projects as capacity allows.
The Donor Stewardship Coordinator will also provide select administrative support for the broader Donor Relations department, such as maintaining internal team resources, processing expenses, and co-managing logistics and implementation for departmental meetings, retreats and special projects. Additionally, this position will provide scheduling support for complex, multi-participant meetings for Director of Donor Relations and Director of Donor Stewardship.

The Coordinator will have the opportunity to work with staff across the Conservancy and build project management skills by coordinating activities with multiple variables, setting realistic deadlines and managing timelines. They will apply established processes and practices and help identify ways to improve team effectiveness and engagement. The Coordinator will provide other staff with the information they need to make decisions and to solve problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

Does not supervise any staff, but may supervise volunteers, interns, or temporary staff.
Duties are performed under general supervision and established guidelines.
Serve as a team member for assigned projects.
Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information.
Identify routine problems and utilize existing resources for resolution, referring difficult questions and problems to supervisor.
Make day-to-day decisions within the scope of work assignments and prioritize work independently.
Financial responsibility may include working within a budget, purchasing, processing invoices, contracting with vendors, and assisting with budget tracking.
Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.
Work overtime as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree and 1-year experience or equivalent combination.
Experience in writing, editing, and proofreading.
Experience organizing time.
Experience managing diverse activities to meet deadlines.
Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people.
Experience with organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience coordinating complex projects and working on a timeline;
Experience gathering and synthesizing large amounts of information for communications with various audiences;
Experience analyzing information for the purpose of preparing reports, coordinating efforts and solving problems.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to apply research skills.
Experience working with databases, including managing and tracking data.
Ability to write and edit written materials for use with internal department communications, donor reports and special events.
Experience, coursework, or other training in fundraising principles & practices.
Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
Experience with light video editing
Experience with content management systems or website development.
