BBDE Tax Operations VP
Whippany, NJ
As a Barclays BBDE Tax Operations VP, you will be responsible for overseeing the tax operations processes to ensure it is compliant with Corporate Tax Policy. This includes monitoring the timeliness of both tax remittance and reporting, partner with the business to understand tax requirements of new products, and be the business' primary point of contact for tax related matters. You will also be monitoring outsourced tax operations processes.

What will you be doing?
\* Creating and managing a governance framework for tax operations processes to ensure regulatory timelines are adhered to and proper controls are in place
\* Monitoring tax operations outsourced processes to ensure SLAs are met and services are delivered as expected
\* Working with different business units to address tax withholding and reporting inquires
\* Understanding anomalies in tax operational processes and develop control improvements with respective areas
\* Representing Tax Operations in BBDE new product offerings or strategic initiatives and partner with the business accordingly
\* Working closely with the Change Management team, embeding new processes as strategic architecture and new regulations become effective
\* Actively building relationships with key stakeholders including; Corporate Tax, BBDE Product Development, Front Office, and related functions
\* Developing ongoing awareness of the tax regulatory landscape and the firm's adherence to tax compliance
What we're looking for:
\* Bachelors Degree
\* Five+ years tax experience in Consumer Finance, with concentration in banking and credit cards
\* Five+ years experience of IRS Tax Reporting, Withholding, and Deposits including knowledge of tax technical requirements, industry practices and initiatives
\* Extensive knowledge of Operations, Technology & Risk
Skills that will help you in the role:
\* Management or leadership experience
\* Advanced MS Office skills, including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word & Teams
