Project Manager - High Value Payments

Whippany

As a Barclays Project Manager in High Value Payments, you will be responsible for the overall management control and delivery of Business Critical Projects in support of Corporate Payments. Able to quickly demonstrate project management expertise by creation of project deliverables that meet or exceed the needs of the stakeholders with limited oversight. Will help mobilise the team and subsequently directs team members, including other project managers, vendors and external suppliers, to deliver the required project quality, cost and delivery timeframes. Works very closely with FED and CHIPS US scheme regulators

What will you be doing?

\* Driving the project planning framework, ensuring that plans are developed and tracked to appropriate standards, are integrated effectively across all work-streams, are unambiguous and achievable, and that dependencies are clearly understood and managed

\* Exercising overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project to plan, budget and agreed quality and governance standards

\* Managing and coordinating projects, their interdependencies, associated risks and issues, escalating as appropriate to the Program head

\* Delivering projects end to end, using agreed Change Control framework. Projects types will include regulatory, tech, MGI & strategic deliveries.

\* Managing and coordinating projects with US Clearing House initiatives - FED, CHIPS, and ACH US Schemes

\* Driving the effective governance of the Project, via the Program/Project Management Office, ensuring that Bank technical, risk and other standards are met

\* Mitigating the risk, contributing to prioritization/re-prioritization process

\* Participating in various organizational level initiatives/forums

What we're looking for:

\* Project management experience leading technical projects, including development and execution able to handle multiple initiatives in parallel

\* Experience in working all aspects of the system development life cycle (writing system requirements, performing system analysis, technical design, etc.)

\* Excellent presentation skills and hands on experience with Microsoft or other project management tools - Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

\* Experience managing end to end complex IT projects and regulatory projects in dynamic Agile environment

Skills that will help you in the role:

\* Experience with Banking Technology and Payments domain in an enterprise architecture space Experience in working with Clearing houses ex, FED and CHIPS, ACH

\* Experience with Service First - Change governance and Agile frameworks, Jira, Kanban, DevOps

\* Proficiency in resolving creating implementation plan and drive the implementation issues, and following escalation matrix

\* Proficiency with infrastructure technology: Virtual hosts/servers, Networks, routers database management systems, MQ messaging, .Net framework applications
