Windows Engineer and Code Developer
Whippany, NJ
As a Barclays Window Engineer and Code Developer, you will play a key technical role in driving many Infrastructure activities, including Technical support to facilitate design & delivery of Business driven changes. Working with the Product Managers and Platform Engineers to upgrade infrastructure/Services. Implement solutions in line with technology roadmaps and global strategy. You will work with Support teams to share knowledge and educate 2nd line teams.

What will you be doing?
\* Liaising with the Design & Development, Release Management, Service Management and 2nd line support functions
\* Implementing of Business driven changes and configuration of Group Policies
\* Performing changes, upgrading to existing Windows Server Infrastructure
\* Supporting of windows clusters, antivirus, backups, deployment tools and monitoring tools, capacity management
\* Developing installation and integrating guides to aid implementation of solution
\* Problem resolution including problem management, root cause analysis and implementation of remedies
\* Working with group IT Security and Governance teams to ensure all IT Security policies and standards are applied
\* Minimizing the occurrence and impact of service incidents through process improvement.
What we're lookingfor?
\* Excellent knowledge in Windows 2003,2008,2012,2016,2019
\* Knowledgeable in File Clusters, DFS, Access Control
\* Understanding of Scripting (VBscript, PowerShell, Ruby)
\* Expert in Networking, DNS, DHCP
Skills that will help you in the role:
\* Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive
\* Understanding of Chef and Powershell
