C++ Developer AVP
Whippany, NJ
As a Barclays C++ Developer, you will be building and maintaining a computational grid with thousands of cores as well as managing high data-throughput and performance servers. This role works closely with the quantitative analytics team in order to onboard our risk to the strategic risk generation platform. This team works with a very data-intensive environment, where large amounts of data puts strain on the system memory, CPU, middleware, and network. System performance, throughput, and resource consumption must be the priority for development and design work.

What will you be doing?
\* Maintaining and supporting the platform with various technologies, including C++, Coherence (JAVA), TIB messaging, and grid computing, in both Windows and Linux environments Participating in various regulatory initiatives critical for the firm
\* On-boarding risk calculation on strategic analytics engine platform
\* Managing senior stakeholders and leadership relationships
\* Acting as liaison for Business Partners and various IT teams
\* Managing inter-team communication and messaging during crisis management
\* Using analytical and problem solving skills to manage production issues and create resolutions
What we're looking for:
\* Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
\* Extensive hands-on experience programming in C++
\* Hands-on scripting experience (Python, Perl, bash, etc.)
\* Knowledge of TIB middleware messaging or Solace or Kafka
Skills that will help you in the role:
\* Knowledge of Securitized Products Business and Analytics
\* Prior experience with data-intensive, computationally heavy systems.
\* Experience in Cloud Computing
\* Experience in relational database technology
