AVP, Software Engineer

Whippany, NJ

What will you be doing?

\* Work on large-scale, custom distributed systems using Java, driving designs towards asynchronous, functional, reactive systems.

\* Design and develop of highly scalable and distributed applications using domain driven architecture framework Axon, Java and Spring.

\* Develop micro services/web services using REST (Representational State Transfer) to communicate between different domains.

\* Design, code, and unit test the most complex software components for new or enhanced IT (Information Technology) systems to a high level of quality, producing appropriate documentation.

\* Configure build and application properties using Chef and Jenkins to promote builds from lower environment to production environment.

\* Use Agile methodology to task out the user stories and estimate them to deliver the featured product.

\* Work the implementation of features through development, design and system testing activities, performed in accordance with Systems Development Life Cycle standards, policies and procedures.

\* Responsible for the quality (both internal and external) of software and addressing any client satisfaction issues, and employ agile techniques such as task estimation, test automation, deployment automation and continuous integration to enhance overall execution speed and product quality.

\* Contribute to driving solutions and applying iterative methods to deliver software that enriches user experiences while exhibiting high internal and external quality.

What we're looking for:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field and 5 years of progressive, post bachelor's experience in the position offered or as a Systems Analyst, Programmer, Software Developer, or closely related position.

Must have experience with each of the following required skills:

\* Utilizing Java, HTML, Javascript, SQL programming languages to build highly scalable and performant applications to meet business requirements;

\* Utilizing Spring and Hibernate frameworks to build back-end and remote services, such as Java Messaging Services (JMS) to establish inter connectivity between services using event and Java Persistence API (JPA) to establish to database connectivity to retrieve data from various types of databases for service to process data;

\* Utilizing Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Representational State Transfer (REST) to develop Web Services which help in scaling applications to communicate with different and cross platform services;

\* Utilizing Axon Framework to design, develop and implement Microservices which helps in building event driven applications;

\* Utilizing Chef, Jenkins and Maven to develop, automate various build and deployment pipelines to effectively deliver software releases;

\* Utilizing Oracle SQL, PL/SQL develop stored procedures to process data at database level for faster processing;

\* Utilizing software development processes like Agile, Scrum and Waterfall model at all levels of software delivery lifecycle (requirements gathering, documentation, design, development, code review, testing and production support);

\* Engaging and liaising with Senior Technology Leadership and Business Stakeholders regularly provide program updates, architectural overviews, solutioning and issue remediation.
