Enterprise Risk Scenario AVP

Whippany, NJ

As a Barclays Enterprise Risk Scenario AVP, you will be responsible for scenario design and expansion processes required as part of stress testing, capital planning, and credit loss forecasting. This is an excellent opportunity to support both internal and regulatory deliverables and liaise with global Risk colleagues on approaches and ensure best practices are being followed as they pertain to forecasting and macroeconomic scenario design.

What will you be doing?

\* Developing and publish macroeconomic scenarios and forecast paths with up-to-date economic themes and firm-specific risk

\* Identifying and evaluate macroeconomic variable projections relevant to specific legal entities and businesses.

\* Staying apprised of economic research, market developments, and outlooks for the global economy and apply this knowledge to scenario proposals or challenge outcomes.

\* Demonstrating understanding of Barclays' risk profile to support the design of economic scenarios that stress the firm's risk profile

\* Constructing benchmarking approaches to scenario outcomes. Benchmarking approaches may be either internal or external results that should inform the scenario design process

\* Performing data processing steps such as manipulation and data transformation on macroeconomic expansion model output

\* Ensuring accuracy in processing large data sets for downstream model usage

\* Producing management information/presentations on scenario outcomes suitable for senior stakeholders

What we're looking for:

\* Bachelor's degree in economics, business, finance, statistics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field

\* Experience in finance (planning) or financial markets (including banks, credit card companies and/or vendors and consultants)

\* Experience in addressing time pressing issues within a financial services production cycle

\* Experience maintaining and governing large datasets in a controlled manner using both Technology provided tools or end-user defined applications.

Skills that will help you in the role:

\* Master's degree in economics, business, finance, statistics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field

\* Developing scenarios for regulatory or internal capital planning

\* Use of risk management tools such as scenario analysis and statistical models

\* Analytical application of macroeconomic theories and variable inter-relationships
