Java Developer
Whippany, NJ
As a Barclays Java Developer, you will join us to operate across the Global Compliance Technology arm of the bank, with the aim of ensuring that all regulatory, risk and control functions within the bank comply with new or amended regulatory requirements. We are looking to add a junior Python Developer to our qualified and diverse development team. You will analyze, develop or enhance applications with all standard controls in agile environment.

What will you be doing?
\* Working through the development cycle from understanding requirements, data analysis, design and development, automated testing and release management
\* Understanding existing complex system flows and technical data flows to be able to enhance and support existing production applications
\* Partnering effectively with globally distributed IT team members within team and across other teams
\* Supporting, monitoring and troubleshooting of both production and non-production environments as well as addressing any client/ user queries promptly
\* Actively contributing on a daily basis to a collaborative and agile environment, providing support, where appropriate, to other members of the team
What we're looking for?
\* A bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field
\* Hands-on experience developing large scale applications using Java / J2EE
\* Familiar with continuous integration and continuous delivery / deployment using GIT, Jenkins etc.
\* Experience working in an Agile team with excellent communication and relationship building skills
Skills that will help you in the role:
\* Experience analysing and transforming un-structured data using Java
\* Experience reading and exporting data from elastic search
\* Experience pulling insights from data using pattern matching with regular expressions
\* Familiar with developing micro services using spring boot
