Active Directory Engineer
Whippany, NJ
As a Barclays Active Directory Engineer, this is an exciting opportunity where you will work on making things better. You will facilitate Active Directory services continuing to be operational 24/7 and help with technical troubleshooting if anything goes wrong. You will be mix of Level 1-3 known support models and will allow to grow in the technology space.

What will you be doing?
\* Supporting Active Directory Services at a multi-forest enterprise scale
\* Troubleshooting Active Directory related issues from monitoring or highlighted from colleagues outside of the team via incidents
\* You will help troubleshooting on coordinated major incident calls If major service outages occur at Active Directory or business services end and driving improvements
\* Problem-solving in situations of uncertainty by continuously searching for other approaches ultimately finding solutions and ensuring they are delivered
\* Supporting application teams to find flaws in their design that would affect resiliency and similar aspects
\* Ensuring the environment is kept vulnerability and risk free and addressing any security findings
What we're looking for:
\* Five plus years' plus experience with Windows Server Operating System (2012/2016/2019) configuration, performance management and troubleshooting
\* Four years' plus experience in supporting Active Directory services in a Multi-Forest environment running on Windows 2012/2016/2019 with key focus on LDAP
\* Group Policy (GPO), DNS, NTLM, Kerberos and Certificates, understanding Key AD roles and how to troubleshoot
\* Active Directory Domain Controller Performance replication, Active Directory Trusts, and experience working with sites and services
Skills that will help you in the role:
\* Previous experience with other technologies that could help in solving business or IT challenges - Virtualization, Cloud, Networks, Storage, Orchestration etc.
\* Quest vendor Active Directory related toolset experience
\* PowerShell knowledge, applying scripting to solve IT Admin challenges, scaling getting information or getting something done across multiple assets
\* Microsoft certification in the Windows Server OS or Active Directory space
