Markets Regulatory - Chief Controls Office AVP

Whippany, NJ

As a Barclays Markets Regulatory - Chief Control Office AVP, you will provide vitally important oversight of Barclays' Markets risk and control framework. You will present a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team who are building the front-to-back process to manage the regulatory estate for Markets. We're looking for a proven self-starter with the ability to learn complex subject matters quickly, multi-task and adapt to an ever-changing regulatory environment.

What will you be doing?

\* Assisting with the pipeline of new and updated regulations affecting Markets businesses globally with an emphasis on awareness/analysis/advocacy/action of new regulation

\* Actively engaging in partnership with various teams to provide internal and external support (e.g. to program management teams and to regulator relations teams, respectively)

\* With the support of key stakeholders, forming initial analysis on regulation and articulating how the Markets business is specifically impacted

\* Maintaining an effective hand off to the Impact Assessment team and/or business execution teams

\* Providing support for Regulatory Requirements Documentation (RRD), an inventory of one or more laws and regulations and legal interpretations

\* Mapping of applicable controls and Policies, Standards and Procedures (PSPs), working with Legal, Compliance & stakeholders to facilitate interpretation of new / updated rules

\* Reviewing RRD inventories and other PSP documentation, helping facilitate remediation of gaps and issues identified during any Markets Conduct PSP reviews

\* Ongoing communication with stakeholders, including senior stakeholder regarding key changes to Market regulations

Skills that will help you in the role:

\* Familiarity with Markets businesses preferred but not required ability to navigate a cross-functional and/or multi-regional environment

\* Four+ years of industry experience
