Overview
This Clinician II position is for the Wellness and Recovery Center which provides crisis intervention to adults living in Morris County. The Clinician completes a full assessment with new clients while focusing on risk factors, and in collaboration with the individual, determines goals for services. The Clinician provides intensive individual therapy/support for up to 30 days, as needed. Discharge planning and addressing case management needs may also be part of the services provided. A working knowledge of adult crisis intervention, and short-term models of therapy are preferred. The Clinician works as part of a multi-disciplinary team and interfaces with both internal and external providers.
Responsibilities
Participates in multidisciplinary team. Provides initial evaluation and assessment with persons and their families. Leads groups and activities to promote skill learning in wellness and recovery techniques. Provides case management support counseling and crisis intervention to assigned mental health consumers.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
Three years? experience providing mental health services to people with severe and persistent mental illness and their families.
Licensed in appropriate discipline required, LPC, LCSW, or LSW. LCSW preferred.
Master's Degree in social work or counseling field, and license eligibility preferred. If license eligibility required by program, proof from educational institution needed.
Valid Driver's License
Defensive Driving Course within 3 months of hire and/or transfer
