IPMDM - CES Developer

Whippany, NJ

As a Barclays IPMDM - CES Developer, you will be involved in all aspects of software delivery including analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing and handover to the production support team. Development work will incorporate a range of languages and technologies, with a particular focus on Java and relational databases on Windows and Linux platforms.

What will you be doing?

\* Developing code in line with the stories that have been agreed as part of the delivery team

\* Actively engaging in providing solutions to the stories that have been submitted

\* Actively engaging in the delivery process and collaborate with other delivery team members to makes sure that the focus is on business value delivery

\* Making sure that all development is in line with Barclays & IPMDM Standards

\* Providing L3 Support as and when required across all applications

\* Applying design and system architecture skills to ensure continual improvements in performance and stability of core Instrument and Price systems

What we're looking for:

\* Bachelors or master degree, preferable in Computer systems

\* Excellent core Java /.Net background with hands-on experience on complex systems

\* Hands-on experience in developing highly scalable and robust J2EE applications with exposure to Java, JMS, JDBC, XML, JSON, Web Services (SOAP and REST)

\* Hands-on experience on Perl/Shell or similar scripting language will be additional plus

Skills that will help you in the role:

\* Experience of working in an Investment bank

\* Reference Data domain (Products & Prices) knowledge

\* Experience with Linux and shell scripting

\* Messaging and Middleware development, specifically Kafka, Solace, Tibco-RV
