Job Description

 

H2M architects engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm with offices in NY & NJ seeks an experienced Sr. Environmental Scientist or Engineer with 15 years of experience to join our Parsippany, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have environmental consulting experience with the ability to supervise and oversee all technical and administrative aspects of environmental site investigation and remediation projects.

Job Responsibilities
Supervise the da y to day technical operations of project teams
Manage projects including proposals, cost estimates, schedules, budgets, invoicing, etc.
Prepare work plans and technical reports; review work of staff to ensure quality.
Provide analyses of regulations governing site assessment and remediation projects.
Project management which includes managing client relationships, and oversight of field staff, subcontractors and remediation contractors.
Responsible for financial performance including cost proposals and project financial performance.
Determine compliance with technical documents and industry specific standards and codes.
Manage and oversee junior level staff.
Interact with a variety of clients and internal senior management to ensure project integrity, completion

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline.
Professional registration or license highly desired (such as P.E., P.G., and/or LSRP)
15 years environmental experience performing and managing environmental site assessments, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Preliminary Assessments, hydrogeologic investigations, remedial investigations, and remedial planning/design.
Demonstrated knowledge and strongunderstanding of current industry activity and practices.
Strong understanding and ability to implement NJ Technical Requirements, Technical Guidances, and A.R.R.C.S.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills to effectively manage client relationships.
Must be able manage multiple priorities under tight timeframes.
Manage, motivate and oversee junior staff and interact effectively with all levels of staff and senior management.
