**Job Description**

**GPI**is seekinga Commissioning Agent for any of our New Jersey offices. GPI's staff works on high-quality and high-profile projects. You will be responsible for executing all building commissioning processes, energy auditing, building retrofit applications, supporting sustainability certification applications, and measurement/verification techniques.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Perform engineering design reviews for commissioning projects
  • Standard building commissioning processes for new and existing construction as found in the ASHRAE Guidelines
  • Completing ASHRAE Level 1, 2, and 3 Energy Audits
  • Support the procurement of building sustainability certifications such as LEED, Energy Star, or others
  • Projects include a variety of building components, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and other specialty systems, including fire alarm, security, and other enhanced building technology systems

**Qualifications:**

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering or another related field
  • 8+ years of hands-on systems commissioning experience for facility projects
  • Technical knowledge of building systems with the ability to evaluate and test the performance of the systems
  • CxA preferred; PE is a Plus

**Requirements**

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**

  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site
  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails, and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
  • Able to climb and leave a ladder to a platform varying from 6' to 20'
  • Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
