The Head of GMS Communications is responsible for leading and partnering on internal and external communication activities. This position will report to the EVP, Corporate Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability and is expected to build a world-class and ground-breaking communications strategy and approach to Zoetis' Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) function and potential recruits.
This colleague will serve as a member of the GMS leadership team and act as a key advisor to the EVP and President, Global Manufacturing & Supply who is located in Dublin, Ireland to define and deliver an engaging global communications strategy. Key responsibilities include developing communication strategy and activities to build executive leadership, engage colleagues, and guide crisis communication and issues management within the GMS network.
Continue to build Zoetis reputation externally as employer of choice
Working with manufacturing sites to determine what to leverage more broadly from successful external campaigns
Contribute innovative ideas to external campaigns based on demographics and target recruits
Partner with GMS Leadership Team in developing internal communications of key GMS strategic initiatives.
Support local GMS sites in building tailored recruitment strategies, including social media campaigns and other advertising to reach potential new colleagues.
Lead the development of core communications materials such as press releases, Q&A, statements, fact sheets, talking points, slides, organizational announcements, internal newsletters, leader communications, etc. around press opportunities focused on our GMS network expansion and product launches.
Develop content strategy in support of the business and build/maintain Zoetis' reputation across manufacturing and supply.
Focus on the key communications areas of:
Building colleague engagement through connection to colleagues, customers, community
Ensuring a regular flow of internal communications to highlight GMS progress on the five strategic initiatives including- Innovative Growth, Sustainability, and Cultivating a High-Performing Organization.
Drive global communication strategies aligned with HR, talent and corporate communication teams to ensure alignment of regional/local strategies at GMS sites, internally and externally
Ownership of quarterly GMS-wide town hall meetings, from agenda to follow-up communication materials. Supporting GMS leadership team in their platform communications (town halls, announcements, creative new ways to engage)
Coordinating with the GMS communications network to cascade information
Campaign development focused on benefits, recognition, learning and development and more highlighting these activities and successes through relevant and appropriate channels
Management, measurement, and content strategy for new platforms and collaboration to reach GMS colleagues
Development of measurement dashboards for internal and external communications
Develop innovative approaches to drive engagement with colleagues across global manufacturing sites
Will support GMS Leadership/communications
May require about 15% travel to accommodate global support
Education and Experience:
Preferably a degree in strategic and/or executive communications
12+ years of strategic communications (internal and external/social) or related experience
Knowledge, Skills, Ability Requirements:
Internal communication strategy development, innovation, execution, measurement
External social media strategy development, innovation, measurement and media support
Leading communications channels/content strategies
Employee engagement and recognition strategies
Recruiting and retention communications for desk-based and hourly colleagues
Communications for large scale businesses with numerous areas of focus for employees
Leadership communications experience
