This is a remote, home role for US-based candidates.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, plans, conducts and leads market research projects. The research will be primarily focused on the US payer and market access market to support the overall commercialization strategy of pharmaceutical and medical device products. The qualified candidate will have an attention to detail and be a proactive, critical thinker who is interested and able to work in a matrixed, team-oriented organization where all team members take responsibility for the quality and validity of the project.
Understands both qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies and effectively communicates to internal and external clients when each is appropriate
Develops research materials such as surveys, discussion guides, and stimulus materials based on stated project objectives independently or with minimal guidance
Effectively analyzes data and insights from research and crafts a report that addresses the project objectives, summarizes the insights, and explains the implications of the results in a concise but compelling way independently or with minimal guidance
Serves as mentor or coach to junior team members
Demonstrates excellent project management skills such as developing action plans to advance projects, organizing and leading update calls with clients and internal team members as needed, and ensuring project is progressing within given timeline and budget
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with peers and clients/customers through frequent and open communication and collaboration
Seeks and uses feedback from peers and clients/customers to improve processes and solutions
Knows how to solve problems in a variety of scenarios
Recognizes changes in project scope, knowing when to take appropriate action with internal team members and the client
Meets personal chargeability goal, prioritizing chargeable and non-chargeable goals
Spends approximately 20% of time developing new business through preparing project proposals and budgets, scoping projects, and assisting with client pitches
Performs other related duties as assigned
What your background should look like
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Normally requires 2-4 years marketing research experience with a healthcare marketing research firm, pharmaceutical company, or a pharmaceutical consulting firm.
Detailed working knowledge of the US payer market access landscape.
Experience in conducting payer market research (preferred)
